City and Guilds of London Institute first class cert, in Painters and Decorators work 1967
C.G.L.I. Advanced Craft Cert with Credit in Painters and Decorators work 1968 Worked for Atherton U.D.C. until 1969 then joined G.& J. Seddon Ltd of Little Hulton, stayed there for10 years as journeyman and foreman working in the offices learning pricing and estimating, in 1980 left to start my own firm which eventually became Leigh Painting Company Limited.

David married 1 Anne Mavis SAWYER 1 on 16 Sep 1972 in Christ Church Erith Kent.                Anne was born 24 Aug 1945 in Erith Kent.

Anne worked for Australian & New Zealand Bank London as head of nominees dept, worked also for Henry Cook-Lumsden Stock Broker Manchester after bringing her two sons into the world and being a house mum for several years she took on the administrative side of Leigh Painting Companies business, she work there continuously and beyond her retirement age of 60

Stephen David SHALLCROSS "Chalky" 1 was born 19 Feb 1977 in Townley's Hosp Bolton. Studied computer programming at Wigan and Leigh College, passed for a place at Lancaster University but decided to continue his training at Wigan and Leigh College.

Christopher David SHALLCROSS MEng SE (Hons).1 was born 12 Jul 1980 in Townley's Hosp Bolton.

Graduated as Master of Software Engineering with Honours, on the first of July, 2002, from UMIST in Manchester (UK).
